When you think of pantry cabinets, visions of white-washed pantries from yesteryear may come to mind. In the 1950's, widely manufactured metal pantry cabinets became popular.  Today, cabinet manufacturer's offer a wide range of wood kitchen pantry cabinet styles with clever interior storage options. 

For those who do not have the space for a walk-in pantry, pantry cabinets are popular. Upper cabinets in kitchens are referred to as "wall" cabinets and the bottom cabinets are referred to as "base" cabinets.  Cabinet manufacturers have designed pantry space for both of these types of cabinets, referring to them as “pantry wall cabinets” and “pantry base cabinets” (“wall cabinets” also refer to tall cabinets or full-height pantry doors).
